Simply beautifully formed. The perfect gift!

I could walk by the ocean for hours. These beautiful shells were on the shores of the Persian Gulf

Perfectly formed. And I never feel when I take just a few precious shells home that it disturbs anyone or anything. Leave just footprints and take home memories ... Pretty and perfect.

I have a feeling that nearly every blogger loves shells too!

The Miracle Gardens in Dubai!

It seems that whenever Dubai open a new attraction it certainly is big, prestigious and awe inspiring. How they manage to put on the displays of flowers at the Miracle Gardens with high, high, high temperatures and a desert environment beggars belief. Perhaps it is a miracle. Photos can never do it justice. But, I will let them tell the story of our visit to these amazing gardens. I am trying not to see our whole visit from behind a camera but it us hard to miss such photo opportunities! Flowers of every type, some cabbages tucked in and extra special touches at every corner. It made for a wonderful visit.

The Miracle Gardens and Butterfly Domes in Dubai.

And of course the perfect companion in the Butterfly Dome. Magical moments with a young child having a first experience of the wonders of nature at close hand. I felt truly blessed to share this.

I hope you are enjoying these little snippets of our trip .

The Grand Mosque on Easter Sunday.

It was somewhat surreal to be visiting the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi on Easter Sunday. Surreal, stunning and stupendous.

I want to just let the pictures do the talking!

I had to take these photos with my phone. There are lots if strict rules in the Mosque. Obviously clothing, decorum and respect but also QUIET!

Well we found the best way of keeping a very lovely, but lively, chatty three year old quiet was to give him my camera. He loved snapping away and has already caught on to the idea of a " selfie!"

I had a few photos to delete when I got home I can tell you.

As always, when you leave you wish that all this splendour and opulence equated to the peace, tolerance and happiness prayed for within the beautiful walls. I am so glad I had the opportunity to walk within them.
