I was awake in the small hours last night. So I had another little think about my blog and a Giveaway.
Just a little way of welcoming 2013 and saying a big Thank You to all my followers.
Your encouragement and support mean a lot to me. I also value being a part of such a creative community that is Blogland.
So please leave a little comment and if you feel like sharing your first project for the New Year I would love to know about it. Then I will choose a winner and send some goodies off to you in the post. What a lovely way to start a brand new, shiny year.
I have just started my rainbow blanket which really is helping me rise above the greyest days ever. I will hold off blogging about it for a few days to give this little Giveaway time to be blessed with lots of lovey comments.
Happy New Year everyone. Love from Linda
I have two more rows of my ripple blanket to do and then I am going to do two more, one for each of my younger granddaughters.I ordered the yarn last night and will show it when it arrives.Good luck with your blanket. There is a photo of mine somewhere on my blog!
ReplyDeleteI have just started a very big (well, to me anyway!!) cross stitch project so that is going to keep me out of mischief for a bit (well my husband hopes so anyway so that he can go on the PS3 to play Black Ops 2 without getting nagged at lol!!).
ReplyDeleteWill post a pic once I make a bit of decent progress.
I have also just finished a specific new year project but can say too much more until tomorrow as the recipient is a blogger I am going to visit this evening!
Have a very Happy New Year, thanks for all your comments this year, much appreciated!

ReplyDeleteI've loads of wip but come tomorrow I'm going to start a few hearts for valentines day, good luck with the giveaway
Oh! I am enjoying this so much. Thinking about the things I will wrap with love and seeing all your lovely comments. Xxx
ReplyDeleteI hope you're not loosing too much sleep over this, Linda! I'm thinking I'd like to improve my crochet skills and thought to make a lap blanket from different patterned squares in 2or 3 colours. I have some grey Aran wool which used to be a cardigan of my mum's, and thought I'd combine it with cream and dark red (to match my room.) I'm just hunting for a suitable easy pattern. Suggestions welcome!
ReplyDeleteIt'll sure be slower than your rate of production!
Very best wishes to you and your family for 2013.
Wishing you All the Best for 2013!
ReplyDeleteI'm working on several projects at once: CQJP 2013, finishing my Jewel Block, a heart for a special project, finishing knitting a blanket for DS (for Christmas!)(yes, 2012! heheheh)
Hugs
A rainbow blanket sounds like a fun project that will definitely make you smile along the way!
ReplyDeleteAnd a giveaway is always a good thing in my books...I'm hoping to soon host my own.
Let's see here...on my list of things to do.....what project will be the first of the new year?
I am currently working on a couple of winter scarves for my hubby and son...but I would like to start one for myself and my daughter. Knitting sounds just about right.
thanks so much for visiting with me today.
Looking forward to a great new year of blogging.

Happy New Year...are we nearly back to normal yet? My first project of 2013 is going to be to put right my last project of 2012, a scarf knitted in handspun that has not quite worked out as it should! I am also making 'Angel Pockets'...I keep needing a little break from them though. I love me a Chalky Give Away. xxx
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year ....my first and second projects are two knitted leafy blankets,- 3 leaves on one panel - for our twin Grand babies due in March....so excited.
ReplyDeleteThank you all again for taking the time to pop in. This little giveaway has prompted me to get by beading and card making bits and pieces out again. I am loving it. My little pile is growing and I shall love wrapping up the little bundles.
ReplyDeleteJanus ... How exciting twin grandchildren. Double the joy!
Linda, We have 5 Grand-daughters already it would be lovely if at least one was a boy. As long as they are both healthy it won't really matter though xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment on the crocheted owl purse I made. My first project for 2013 is making a bunch of artist trading cards as I'm part of 2 different swap groups.
