Some beauty amongst some difficult times

My Mother -In - Law has often featured in my blog.

I have known her nearly 40 years and I can honestly say we have never had a cross word.
She has not been well lately and sadly we did have some sad,bad news when we saw the specialist yesterday.
Things seem a little bleak just now.
But look at the basket I made for her last week when she was feeling a little down.

She looked at it this morning and things seemed a little brighter.
She has always been a brave lady so just now she is knitting  hats for premature babies.
The best distraction ever and such a reminder of the "Circle of Life!"

  1. So sorry to hear that your mother-in-law is unwell. It must be a difficult time for you all. She really has done some lovely work for charity, as you've shown us in your blog. That basket is really pretty and I'm so glad she found a little joy from looking at it. I hope she can keep interested in her knitting and stay positive. My thoughts and good wishes are with you all.

  4. (((Hugs))) How lucky to have such a brave and thoughtful Mother in Law. What a treasure. I was so glad of premature baby clothes knitted by volunteers when my youngest put in a very early appearance. You certainly cannot buy anything so small and as they are so early you are not quite ready either! He arrived almost eight weeks before he was expected! He was like dressing a little pixie and keeping them warm is so important. Mine is one of the youngest in his class but one of the biggest, amazing how these premies catch up! Say thank you to your Mother in Law from me please :)

  8. I'm not always great at following patterns either. Love your little daisies that can be used to embellish so many things. Sorry to hear your MIL is unwell, but sounds like she is making the most of her time by giving back with her knitting. That always helps to boost the spirit. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
