Looking forwards. Looking backwards!

Forwards. Backwards. Backwards, Forwards.
Or Just the Circle of Life!

As we now look forward to welcoming our first little Grandchild into our family it is so easy to remember when I gave birth to my son 31 years ago.
Here he is when he was 3 weeks old, and I was 26!

Of course an enormous river has flowed under the proverbial bridge since then!
I have no idea where his Fisher Price Garage,Aeroplane or Dog have gone!

I think they probably got passed on to other little ones as they arrived or got sold in a Car Boot Sale to raise precious pennies!
But look what has always remained to remind us of our babies!

This week the Moses Basket and stand that all my babies slept in has had a wash and now it just needs a new mattress and drapes.
Then it will be ready as we look forward to our new Grandchild's to arrival!
I think I might have to pop down to our local Boot Fair to see if I can find some Vintage Fisher Price Toys Too!

  1. It's an exciting time, isn't it? We're expecting our first grandchild this October, but she'll be born halfway around the world from where we live.

  2. Oh Suztats congratulations on the announcement of a Grandaughter? I can only imagine what beautiful heirloom you are making to celebrate her birth. I am so sorry she will be so far away though.

  3. Lovely photographs doesn't time fly? You made me feel all nostalgic, I loved my Fisher Price Dog, you must get a 'vintage' one from somewhere now. Those garages were fantastic too. I lost my Fisher Price Radio when I was small and never quite got over it. I replaced it from Ebay a couple of years ago and it still works perfectly it plays 'I'd like to Teach the World to Sing'. My son was playing with it last week he had dug it out from the bottom of the Toy box. Today he was watching Mr Ben! You must be so excited xxx

  10. Hi there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog
platform are you using for this site? I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've had
problems with hackers and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
