A reunion and a few tears!

Byron Bay and meeting Briony.
Six months had passed since we waved goodbye to Briony at Heathrow so we were very excited to arrive at the Bus Station in Byron Bay.
If you know Totnes and St Ives you will be able to picture Byron. It is just like a mixture of the two places and then add some!

We have always lived near the sea in the UK and love long walks and chats by the water.
So to spend time catching up with Briony was wonderful.
The Beach at Byron Bay is truly beautiful and we spent many happy hours exploring and just loving the natural beauty of the area.

We stayed at a very relaxed motel nearby so were able to give the girls some spoiling!

As with all lovely times -- they come to an end and I can tell you a few tears were shed!
So it was time to start our long journey home full of happy memories.
We had time before our flight from Sydney to Japan to see a couple of iconic buildings which we loved
Sydney Opera House

Circular Quay.

And Sydney Bridge

It was hard to board that plane and say a silent goodbye to such a wonderful country!
