A Beautiful Village Wedding

A Very Special Day!

Abbotskerswell is a really pretty little village very close to our home and yesterday this sleepy little place came to life. It was the stage for a lovely family wedding.
Families joining together.
Owen and Charlotte all dressed up!

Lindsay and Chris ready to join in the celebrations.

Oh! We did miss Briony!

Both families have lived in the area for a long, long time and the church is tucked up right in the middle of the village with the pub next door!

The Bride's family are farmers and the lovely idea of Harvest was celebrated all day.
The Bride even arrived in a hay cart pulled by a tractor!

Wheat sheaves decorating the entrance to the church.

The Archway was decorated with the most beautiful flowers-- the scent was amazing!

My lovely nephew and his new bride had to run the Confetti Gauntlet!
Even her beautiful dress was wheat coloured!

A very special pageboy who took his role very seriously.

Job Done!

The Reception was held at the Bride's Farm and what a gorgeous setting!
Milk Churns and Farming bits and pieces.

A jazz band to welcome us.

So many gorgeous touches which made the day so special.

Views from the gardens.

Even the ferret was included!

A chance to catch up with my brother.
I had not realised how alike we look.
Moustache excepted of course!

  1. Hi Linda
I've had a lovely long read (not visited for while), enjoyed your fab pics and lovely descriptions as usual. Glad the wedding was a success & that the weather was with you.

Think on - next time you need fancy dress you just need a fake 'tash & you can go as your brother 'in drag'. lol

  14. A motivating discussion is definitely worth comment. I think that
you need to publish more on this subject matter, it may
not be a taboo subject but generally folks don't speak about these issues. To the next! All the best!!
