It really is a pure coincidence that this 100th post also marks a special happy day in Chalky's House and to celebrate we went a little way down the coast to one of my favourite places for 1 of my favourite things----
Dartmouth and a crab sandwich!! I hope, hope, hope it stops raining in a minute!!
I will post some pictures about that in a few days!

So thinking about gifts.
I love thinking time -- another bonus of retirement! And thinking about gifts is really special. No more rushing to the shops and grabbing the first " might be  OK" present because you have 2 minutes left of your lunch break!!
So I have been thinking about you all.
I wonder if I show you some of the things I have been finding to
put in my Giveaway basket you can spot who I was thinking about when I made the selection!

For anyone who knows Sandy at Teacup Lane that was an easy one!

Could be ? or ? or definitely ?

Crafty Ones?

For across the pond?

Green Fingers?

Lovely Lilac!

Just the right shade?

Definitely ?

? OR ?

These made me think of ?

Again this definitely made me think of ?

So just in case you have lost The thread or think I have lost my mind this is the plan---

I will put  the names of everyone who has left me a comment in a hat.

I will match the winner with the giveaway I had thought of for them and add some extra Chalky bits and          pieces of course.

I will email the winner for the correct address and send it off.
I will tuck the basket away with the remaining goodies for another Giveaway.

A little bit of this will be tucked in!

A final note --- It would be fun if you read this post and feel like leaving a comment to say which gift you think I WAS THINKING OF  FOR YOU!

P.S -- 29 is one of my lucky numbers ! I have been still and static on 28 Followers for simply ages and would love it if someone would join the other lovely people. The more the merrier of course! Encantardo/a

Home Is Where the Heart Is--- Here and There!!

"Late In The Evening!"
Leaving Alicante,on time despite all the problems with the volcano in Iceland was to say the least lucky!
As we flew back to the UK I found myself looking out of the window just looking at the sky.I wondered if it would look any different. I don't know if it did or not but I do know it looked so,so  beautiful!

Thankfully we really are getting used to coming and going and making the best of both of our worlds.
Having wonderful family and friends both in the UK and Spain makes this an easy task. Look what we were greeted with on our return to the UK this time!

Tulips on the table from a very special girl1

A very waggy welcome from a very special boy!

The weather since our return has been beautiful and we never need any persuasion to go on our favourite woodland walk.

Following the River Lemon.

Along the River Bank.

To the woods at Bradley Manor.

It was lovely just to stop and have a look at the Spring flowers - Some on our walk.

And others in our Garden.

So tonight as I go to bed, a bit later than usual because of some hedgehogs which will feature in my next post ,where there is a little more about our homecoming. I shall be grateful for all things Spanish and English in our lives.

Triiny And Susannah I need your help -- Capsule wardrobes and packing. I think not!!

"Leaving On a Jet Plane!"
A friend of mine says the speed at which time passes is exactly proportional to your age. The time between birthdays when you are 5 seems eternal--- I can remember all that waiting , Christmas. Well it was heralded by Satsumas wrapped in blue paper in a wooden box which was later cut up for lighters for the fire.Christmas only came after the longest wait!
Of course as you get older is seems as if you have about 5 birthdays a year and the presence of Christmas is only absent, in list form, for about 6 weeks in the summer.
Well it is hard to believe a blink ago we were here and now we are all ready to set off back to the UK.
So much has happened since last October. Thankfully we are now getting much more used to the tooings and froings of our Winter and Summer life.We have now almost 2 separate identities. 1 in the UK and 1 in Spain.
We pick up one piece of hand luggage each when we are flying home.
Now I have watched all the programmes, and am so glad I have never met either Trinny or Susannah but capsule -- Yes I get that!!
And packing that Idyll
-- Well I think I might one day get that. But right now, this trip. Well . Not quite
Can you guess what is in mine?

Let's have a look!
Woolly stuff!

Taggies tucked in!

Puppets- I lay the blame at the Puppet Ladies feet !!

15 Bags of Love!

Lapacuddlyghans for Charity!

Teddy Puppets!

A Couple of fluffy Scarves

Actually that lot is all packed and ready to go but I have to fit these last minute bits and pieces in somewhere. The final Charity items from our winter life !
Some premmie hats!

2 Teddies for Tragedies!

Some home made cards by special request.

Lapacuddlys that won't fit in!

A huddle of hedgehogs all fat and ready to go!

And some looking a little deflated!

And shouting from the terrace frightened at being left behind--

Now the poor Sporty One looks upon all this woolliness with a mixture of amusement, exasperation and indulgence but amongst it all there must be room for a least a couple of these.

Not a pair of Bragas to be seen !!

Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Waitrose. Can you spot them?

"It's in The Bag!"

I sometimes get frustrated with myself when I don't do enough on the Recycling side!

This was a way that so suited me. Knitting with Carrier bags to make a bag!

If anyone is mad enough to want to try one I will post the instructions!
